Your managers already have the job.
Foundation gives them the skills.

Foundation is a cohort program that builds the leadership fundamentals your managers need, through practice in a supportive environment and Real Reps in their actual work.

REAL WORK

—  THE PROBLEM

One workshop won't change how your managers lead.

Most leadership training gives managers knowledge. A framework, a model, a workbook. But knowledge isn't the same as skill.

Skills develop through practice. Repeated, real, supported practice, the same way any other competency is built.

Foundation is built on that premise. Every session, every assignment, every coaching conversation is designed around one thing: getting managers to practice leadership in their actual work, reflect on how it went, and do it again.

82%

Of managers are promoted into leadership with no formal training.

SOURCE - CHARTERED MANAGEMENT INSTITUTE

Foundation isn't a course. It's a conditioning system.

—  WHO IT'S FOR

Designed by leaders who spent decades building and leading teams in high-growth organizations, Foundation is practical development for managers who want to get better at the work of leadership.

Foundation is made for managers who:

Were promoted for being good at the work and are still figuring out the people part

Know what they should do in hard moments — and keep delaying it anyway

Give feedback, but aren't sure it's landing

Are carrying more than they should and can't figure out how to stop

Have sat through leadership training and walked out with a binder they've never opened

And for HR, Functional, and L&D leaders who:

Need something their managers will actually use, not just complete

Want behavior change they can see

Are tired of investing in programs that don't hold past the last session

—  THE APPROACH

Practice. Apply. Progress.

01

Practice Safely

Sessions, Open Gyms, and 1:1 coaching give managers a low-stakes environment to try new skills, get feedback, and build confidence before anything is on the line.

IN SESSIONS & 1:1s

02

Apply IRL

Between sessions, managers complete Real Reps — specific leadership actions in their actual job. Not simulations. Real feedback conversations with real direct reports.

IN THE FIELD

03

Progress Deliberately

We sequence the difficulty. A manager practices reinforcing feedback before they're asked to redirect. They build easy reps first, so when the hard conversation comes, the muscle memory is there.

SCAFFOLDED LEARNING

—  HOW IT WORKS

Structure that builds the habit, not just the knowledge.

SESSION

WHAT HAPPENS

Session 1

Week 1

2 hrs - Full Cohort

Onboarding, Leadership Skills Baseline, and first reps. Managers leave knowing who they are as a leader and what they're working on.

Session 2

Week 2

30 min - Individual 1:1

One-on-one session with your coach. Focused on modeling a good 1:1 and anything you want to work on.

Session 3

Week 3

1 hr - Open Gym: Redirecting Feedback

Practice feedback reps with coaches and peers. This is a valuable opportunity to build skills in a safe environment.

Session 4

Week 5

1 hr - Open Gym: Redirecting Feedback 2

Practice feedback reps with coaches and peers. This is a valuable opportunity to build skills in a safe environment.

Session 5

Week 8

2 hrs - Leaders Circle

        & Graduation

Peer problem solving followed by Leadership Skills Baseline review and graduation.

BETWEEN SESSIONS

Complete Real Reps tracked through the LeaderReps app — a digital field guide for capturing reflections, logging reps, and reviewing progress before each session.

—  WHAT CHANGES

Behavior you'll actually see
on Monday morning.

Having feedback conversations they were previously avoiding

Setting clear expectations before work starts, not after it goes wrong

Building trust deliberately, not hoping it develops on its own

Leading from a defined identity instead of reacting reflexively

Leadership Skills Baseline

Every participant completes a behavioral self-assessment before and after Foundation.

They'll see where they started and where they finished.

Not anecdotes. A baseline and a benchmark.

—  WHAT LEADERS SAY

Results that make a difference.

Every week during Foundation I came away with tools I was excited to put into practice right away. LeaderReps changed the way I lead my team...and they have noticed!

Anna S.
Head of Marketing

This sh*t works.

Kathryn S.
Nonprofit Executive

I didn't think feedback was a skill I really needed to think about or work on but Foundation quickly changed that assumption! ...the CLEAR feedback framework was so powerful. I've already used it to address a thorny situation I have been avoiding for months.
